AS 2773:2019 pdf free.Ultrasonic cleaners for health service organisations
Equipment containers shall be accessible for removing from the tanks. When equipment containers are in the cleaning tanks, their handles shall stand above the cleaning solution level.
The base or sides of equipment containers not adjacent to transducers should be constructed of mesh or perforated plate. Any base or side of a standard equipment container adjacent to a transducer should be solid, to allow for maximum cleaning efficiency.
Equipment containers in which loads may be placed should be supported while being passed through a washer-disinfector, subsequent to the ultrasonic cleaning process. The equipment containers should be constructed from mesh or perforated plate to ensure rinsing, draining and drying. However, such containers may substantially reduce ultrasonic cleaning efficiency, in which case a higher powered ultrasonic input to the tank shall be used. Mesh or perforated plate apertures for this type of container shall be no greater than 6 mm in size.
Equipment containers shall be handled in one of the following methods:
(a) Automatic handling within a single multipurpose tank一Multiple functions within a single tank that only requires the loading of equipment into a starting position, pressing a single start button and removing equipment on completion of the cycle.
(b) Automatic transfer between stage tanks一Separate, dual or multiple functional stages, including a mechanized automatic transfer of equipment between each functional stage.
(c) Automatic lowering and lifting一Individual lowering and lifting devices fitted to each tank to automatically lower, process and lift the equipment containers in that tank.
NOTE Transfer between tanks should be carried out manually.
(d) Manual transfer between stage tanks一Individual functional stages, which are timed or are stopped automatically after a timed period, where equipment is manually transferred between functional stages.
Pipework and pipe fittings shall be accessible for maintenance purposes and, where used for drainage arranged with a fall. A sufficient number of union type joints shall be provided to allow for easy removal of sections of pipework and pipe fittings. Piping terminations for service connections shall be unions. They shall conform to the Plumbing Code of Australia.AS 2773 pdf free download.
