AS 4627:2017 pdf free.Quick-connect devices for gas
For all quick-connect devices with the rated working pressure in excess of 1050 kPa shall be tested in accordance with M.O.T. 3.2.1 (see Appendix B, Paragraph B4),hydrostatic safety test and shall provide no evidence of fracture, deformation or loss of operation prior to performing the external leakage test in accordance with M.O.T. 3.2.1.1.
When tested in accordance with M.O.T. 3.2.2 (see Appendix B, Paragraph B5), the external leakage from the body of a quick-connect device shall not exceed 1 mL/min at all internal air pressures up to 1.5 times the rated working pressure with any valve opened and closed.
When tested in accordance with M.O.T. 3.2.3 (see Appendix B, Paragraph B6), the leakage past each closed valve of the quick-connect device with safety shut off shall not exceed the value specified in Table 3.1 at all inlet air pressures up to 1.5 times the rated working pressure and with the outlet open to atmospheric pressure.
When tested in accordance with M.O.T. 3.4.5- 3.4.6 (see Appendix B, Paragraph B11),the maximum instantaneous torque or force at the initial connecting or disconnecting of the quick-connect device or at the initial opening or closing of the valve shall be no greater than 1.5 times the values given in Table 3.4.
The mating parts of a quick-connect device shall be positively secured together by a locking system. When tested in accordance with M.O.T. 3.4.7 (see Appendix B, Paragraph B12), the locking system shall withstand a pulling force, as specified in Table 3.5,along the longitudinal axis without distortion or leakage exceeding the values specified in Clause 3.2.
When tested in accordance with M.O.T. 3.5 (see Appendix B, Paragraph B13), quick-connect devices shall show no evidence of undue wear and shall meet the requirements of Clauses 3.2.2, 3.2.3, 3.4.5 and 3.4.7 after 2000 cycles of connction and disconnection.
Half the cycles shall be carried out at 60°C or the maximum declared working temperature, whichever is the higher, for a minimum period of 24 h. The remainder of the cycles shall be carried out at 20±5°C; or the minimum declared working temperature for a minimum period of 24 h, if declared below 0°C. The cycle period shall be no shorter than that declared by the manufacturer.AS 4627 pdf free download.
